We were walking through the park and no one was around. Alone, just us two. It was lightly raining, the skies were a lovely shade of grey - perfect lighting for photos. You held my small warm hands around your cold skin while we walked along the wet path. The amount of rain created the green hills that rested behind us. I was so glad you were able to see them so beautiful and lush.
Around the corner, we found a lone bench that faced the water. We stood in front of the bench, aware that it was too wet to sit down. I turned up to face you. Your incandescent blue eyes found my big brown eyes and my heart melted. The look you gave me was magical. But every look you give me is magical. Before I leaned up on my tippy toes to kiss you, I got an idea. I climbed up and stood on the bench, our faces parallel in front of each other. I smiled. You laughed. I blushed.
You put your warm hands around me and I place mine across your soft face, your beard tickling my palms. The taste of your lips was sweet like honey, warming my body, my soul. I got a better look at your eyes. Your pupils were dilated, surrounded by the warmest ocean blue. I got that fuzzy butterfly feeling and my mind wandered. I can't believe this sweet boy is into me. Is this even real? You took my face, cradling it between your strong hands and say "You want to be my girlfriend?" My heart stopped. I began to melt into my feelings, waves of pure joy washed over me. I heard fireworks in my head, but I could feel it in my chest. I open my mouth, barely able to mutter a "yes" before my lips could get to yours. I began tearing up from all the sweetness I couldn't contain. Luckily, it was raining and you couldn't tell. But I'm sure you did.
Happy anniversary my sweet, sweet boy.
